Front end and steering wear

High mileage + age often show up first in the front end.

Brakes (stopping power and confidence)

Brake refresh is one of the best ‘feel’ upgrades you can do.

  • Pads/rotors, caliper condition, brake hoses
  • Brake fluid flush (often overlooked)
  • Parking brake adjustment/parts depending on model

Cooling system (cheap insurance)

Preventive cooling work avoids expensive problems.

Rubber and seals

Old rubber causes leaks, clunks, and water intrusion.

  • Axle/knuckle seals (solid axle platforms)
  • Door/weather seals and window channels (older rigs)
  • Engine oil leaks from aged gaskets and seals

If you’re planning a trip

Before long travel: do fluids, belts/hoses, brakes, and fix leaks.

  • If you want a prioritized parts list for your exact rig, use the part request.
