Before you buy: 60‑second checklist

Do this before ordering any part:

  • Confirm your series (FJ40/FJ60/80/100/200/300)
  • Confirm the build year (and market/trim if relevant)
  • Note engine and drivetrain (if the part is engine-specific)
  • Check ABS/non‑ABS and solid axle vs IFS when buying front-end parts

OEM vs aftermarket vs used (simple framework)

Use this decision tree to choose the right category:

  • OEM: sensors, electronics, critical seals, tricky assemblies
  • Aftermarket: brakes, suspension, service items (from proven brands)
  • Used: discontinued parts, trim, big hard parts with inspectable condition

When to request help

If fitment is uncertain, it’s cheaper to ask first.
